Warriors tripped by Arcadia

The Saint Frederick Warriors (4-4, 1-2) couldn't catch the speed of Arcadia (6-2, 2-1) in a 32-13 loss Friday night in the district rivalry game.

Arcadia jumped out to a 12-0 first half lead before St. Frederick could find any offensive rhythm. The Warriors recorded 249 yards of offense but a vaunted Arcadia offense ripped the Warriors defense for 407 yards of their own.

"They do so many things good offensively," Guerriero said. "They are so athletic and caused our defense some problems with their speed."

Arcadia opened the contest with a 49-yard touchdown pass from quarterback LeDavious Perry to Leterrious Allen. Allen added his own touchdown pass to the mix late in the contest as well.

Perry completed 19-of-25 passes for 309 yards, including two touchdown passes, to down St. Fred.

Perry and Tradavious Tobin added touchdown runs to make the score 20-0 in the third quarter.

Landon Williams got the Warriors on the board in the next possession with a 12-yard touchdown strike to Nick Leehy.

Arcadia again used the big play to quiet the Warriros comeback when Perry found wide receiver Korey Abney down the sideline for a 60-yard touchdown pass.

Chris Buttitta was keyed on and held to just 58 yards on 17 carries for the Warriors. He did record the second and final touchdown of the night for the Warriors on a 27-yard touchdown pass from Williams.

Williams had success against the Arcadia defense in the second half and completed 14-of-28 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
