Monroe Civic Center complex to be closed next week for electrical repairs Monroe Civic Center Director Pat Dayton announces that all buildings in the civic center complex will be closed Monday, Oct. 6, through Wednesday, Oct. 8, for electrical repairs. Electricians will be conducting the replacement and repair to the high voltage lines feeding power to the entire civic center complex.
These lines are located underground and all power to the complex will be off until the completion of the project. During this time period, all civic center and community affairs offices located in the complex will be closed. All offices will reopen as soon as the project is completed
The Monroe Civic Center Box Office will be temporarily relocated to the Monroe City Hall City Council Chamber. Tickets for the Rickey Smiley Comedy Show (scheduled for the civic center theatre on October 9) and Delta Fest (scheduled for Chennault Park on October 11 and 12) will be sold in the City Council Chamber of Monroe City Hall from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the aforementioned days.
Upon the completion of the electrical project, the box office will return to its regular location and hours of operation in the B.D. Robinson Conference Hall lobby in the civic center. |
