The Ouachita Parish Public Library will hold the 30th annual Pumpkin Bash from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the main branch, 1800 Stubbs Ave. in Monroe.

A vegetable decorating contest will be held; entries should be in by 3 p.m. and judging will begin at 3:30 p.m. Costume contests will be held with trophies for winners of first, second and third places. Toddler to kindergarten age will be at 3:30 p.m.; first to third grade, 4 p.m.; and fourth to sixth grade, 4:30 p.m.

Other events include a battle of the bands, a spook house on wheels, hayrides, face painting, balloon hats and other children's games.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and cameras.
