Good Hope honors teacher of the month

The faculty and staff at Good Hope Middle School recently selected Esther Hutchinson as the September Teacher of the Month.

This is her third year at Good Hope where she now teaches seventh grade American history and sponsors the Colonel Line.

Hutchinson always has a smile on her face and a cheerful "hello" for her colleagues and students, according to her co-workers. They say she creates interesting lessons by incorporating much technology into her teaching and that her enthusiastic personality is reflected in her classroom.

Outside of school, Hutchinson enjoys running and participation in Race for the Cure and other charitable functions. Hutchinson also likes to "hang out" at home with her husband.

As part of this award, she will receive several prizes including a parking space for the month. She gets a certificate and a plaque in her room. The principal will give her a meal for two at her favorite restaurant.
