Windows a bookshop, will host a free Midnight Dragon Party at 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in anticipation of the release of "Brisingr," the third and final installment of Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Trilogy.

The first volume, "Eragon," was published in 2003 and volume two, "Eldest," was released three years ago.

The party will feature games, puzzles and dragon-centric enthusiasm. Books will be available at 12:01 a.m.

The Midnight Dragon Party is open to the public and there will be no admission fee.

For more information, call Windows at 361-9004.

Also at Windows, author Mary Anna Evans will sign copies of her new novel, "Findings," at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23.

In the book, the heroine Longchamp is excavating a site in Florida connected to her family when a friend is murdered — and field notes are the only thing missing from the scene.

The public is invited to attend and there is no admission fee.

Windows a bookshop is located at 609 Park Ave. in Monroe. Their Web site is windowsabookshop.com.
