Clark, Wilkes to marry Nov. 29

Mr. and Mrs. Mike and Brenda Clark of Downsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Jo Clark of Monroe to Michael Wayne Wilkes Jr. of Monroe.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruffino of West Monroe, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Litton of Downsville and the late Durwood L. Clark.

She graduated from West Ouachita High School, from Louisiana Tech University with a B.A. in English and from Louisiana State University with a masters degree in library and information science. She is employed by the Ouachita Parish Public Library.

The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Wilkes of West Monroe and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Brownell of West Monroe, Betty Wilkes of Arcadia, and the late Buddy Wilkes.

He graduated from West Ouachita High School and attends Louisiana Tech University. He is currently employed by Community Trust Bank.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe. Brother Whit Holmes will officiate.
