Annie Lois Ainsworth
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lois Ainsworth, 85, of Calhoun, were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at First Assembly of God in West Monroe with Bishop Jeremy Caraway officiating. Interment was in Monroe Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Saturday evening.
In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Russell Ainsworth, preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include four daughters, Betty Lou Hampton and husband, Butler, Louise Baletine and husband, Ollie, Shirley Ann Creech and husband, Andrew, and Wanda Kay Bogle and husband, Billy; three sons, James E. Ainsworth and wife, Ruby, Ronnie G. Ainsworth and wife, Nellie, and Bobby Ray Ainsworth and wife, Tammy; 21 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

Keith Delane Baird Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Keith Delane Baird, Sr., 49, of Monroe, were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. James Tate officiating. Interment was in Hewitt Cemetery in Snake Ridge Community in Richland Parish. Visitation was Wednesday evening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Gene Baird and Carolyn Ruth Baird. Survivors include his four children, Keith Delane Baird Jr., Amethyst Sue Baird, Colt William Ranger Baird and Levi Augustus Baird.

Gail Goings Brooks
Gail Goings Brooks of Baton Rouge went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, following a lengthy battle with liver failure.
She was preceded in death by her in-laws, Roy C. Brooks Sr. and Louise Rinehart Brooks of West Monroe.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Roy Cleveland Brooks, Jr., Ph.D.; sons, Christopher Roy Brooks and Connor Nelson Brooks; daughter, Elizabeth Rinehart Brooks; grandson, Brooks Kleinpeter Turner; devoted parents, Nelson and Mary Elizabeth Goings; brother and sister-in-law, Austin and Kim Goings; and niece, Parker Goings, of Houston.
Visitation was Thursday, Sept. 11 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge. Visitation and funeral service were Friday, Sept. 12 at Broadmoor Methodist Church. The service was conducted by Rev. Gene Reeves, Rev. Fred Wideman and Rev. Phil Woodland.
Pallbearers were Kenneth E. Cox, John F. Ehricht, Mickey Freiberg, Russell B. Greer, R. Paul Ivey, J. Cleve Langlois, Robert V. McAnelly and Benjamin H. Smith. Honorary pallbearers were David G. Addison, Kerry M. Hawkins, Vaughn R. Meiners and Wiley B. Raborn.
Memorials may be made to the Gail Goings Brooks Chapel Choir Tour Scholarship Fund at University United Methodist Church, 3350 Dalrymple Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70802.

Lola Joyce Antley Cobb
Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Joyce Antley Cobb, 63, of West Monroe, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Gordon "Skip" Dean officiating. Interment was in Acree Cemetery in Point. Visitation was Monday evening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, CMSgt Charles Wayne Cobb, USAF (ret), in 2003.
Survivors include her son, Jim Cobb; daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Barry Justus; sister, Bonnie Sue Terral and husband, Gene; brother, Reggie Antley and wife, Joyce; granddaughter Jennifer Scallan and husband, Scott; three grandchildren, Brandon, Gregory, and Ashley Justus; and three great-grandchildren, Caroline, Madison and Alyssa Scallan.
Pallbearers were Rodney and Brad Terral, Scott Scallan, Marvin Cobb, Scott and Brent Moore. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Highland Baptist Church.

Bobbie Faye DeMoss
Mrs. Bobbie Faye DeMoss, 73, of Calhoun, went home to be with her precious Jesus on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Clyde Kelley and Rev. Wanda Cosentino officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun. Visitation was Friday evening.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Bill DeMoss; their seven children, Gary DeMoss, Dale DeMoss and wife, Karen, Mike DeMoss and wife, Joyce, Kevin DeMoss, Debra Moore and husband, James, Cindy Calhoun and husband, Richard, and Ellen Malmay; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Powell, Floye Mercer, Joyce Albritton and Pauline Hulsey; brothers, Everette Tanner and wife, Francis, Paul Tanner and wife, Linda, and Preston Tanner; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Richie Evans, Alan DeMoss, David DeMoss, Chris Moore, Adam Calhoun and Terry Malmay. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Lewis, Glen Lewis, Nathan DeMoss, Jacob DeMoss and Mark DeMoss.

Bobby Lee England
Mr. Bobby Lee England, 70, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was immediately before the service at the mausoleum. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Jean England; sons, Robert England and wife, Jessica, William England and James England; grandsons, Tyler, Joshua, Christopher, Alex and Maison; and other family, Stacie England and Lisa England.

Frances Patton Gonzales
Graveside services for Frances Patton Gonzales, 97, of West Monroe, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Riverview Cemetery. Rev. George Bonner officiated and arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Tuesday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Gonzales; two sisters, Wilma Bennett and Olga McLemore; one brother, O.L. Patton; and one great grandchild, Lauren Shambro.
Survivors include her daughter, Dolores Johnson; granddaughter, Kelly Shambro and husband, Tim; nieces, Nell McDonough and Linda Bailey and husband, Rich; nephew, Bill Bennett and wife Bonnie; great-grandchildren, Anthony Shambro and wife, Rachel, Alex Shambro, Kristen Shambro and Allison Shambro; three great-great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Lucille Cantrell; and several great nieces and nephews.

Brenda Lou Hale
Mrs. Brenda Lou Hale, 60, of Baton Rouge, and formerly of Monroe, answered God's heavenly call on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Wayne Duncan officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Monday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include her brother, Donald Hale of Baton Rouge; sister, Carolyn Brewer of Rockwall, Texas; nieces, Marci Freeman and Jaye Comer; nephews, Glen Hale and Jordyn Brewer; and she was the great-aunt to Austin and Kimberlyn Freeman, Jacob and Samantha Hale and Christian and Madalyn Comer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ollie Hale.
Pallbearers were Glen Hale, Randy Harris, Jordyn Brewer, Dr. William Freeman, Austin Freeman and Shaphan Comer.

Quentin McCrary
Mr. Quentin "Steve" McCrary, 90, of West Monroe, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, in Shreveport.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at the McCrary family plot, adjacent to Cheniere Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev Robert Spicer officiated and Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe handled the arrangements. Visitation was Sunday evening at Cheniere Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie McCrary; three children, Bonnie Cole, Becky Axen and husband, Mike, and Quent McCrary; three grandchildren, Keith Axen, Zack McCrary and Taylor McCrary; and sister, Theada Barbara.

Danny Dean Schooley

Survivors include his wife, Tammy "Peanut" Schooley of West Monroe; son, Danny Dean Ridge of Carthage, Texas; stepsons, Timmy Savell, Jason Keen and Jonathan Keen, all of West Monroe; nephew, Adam Schooley of Nebraska and niece, Kim Schooley Tumilson of Columbia; brothers, Bill Schooley and his wife, Sharon, of West Monroe and James Schooley and his wife, Ramona, of Anchorage, Alaska.

Mr. Cletus C. Walters, 82, of Monroe, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his daughters, Cleta W. Adams, and Angela W. Matson and husband, Joey; three grandchildren, Ashley Lucas and husband, Lee, Misty Loe and husband, Bert, and Trey Matson; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Adam, Mallory and Grace Loe, and Claire and Susan Lucas; sisters, Inez Zeagler, Carolin LeBlanc, Cornelia Etier and Glenora Fulmer; and brothers, Louis Walters, and Raymond Walters.
