Story Archives: Monroe hydrant testing under way

Monroe hydrant testing under way
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Monroe Fire Department and the Monroe Water Distribution Department are testing fire hydrant flow.

Testing will occur from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. through Saturday, Nov. 15. These tests are necessary to ensure proper operation of the fire hydrant as well as to ensure a sufficient supply of water in the event of a fire emergency.

During these times, residents may see a mild fluctuation in water pressure and the possibility of discolored water.

Those who experience discolored water should call 329-2385 immediately so that the problem may be solved.
