Event serves as kickoff for Oct. festival

"Whiskey — The Spirit of Ireland" will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at the West Monroe Convention Center.

The event is open to the public and serves as the kickoff for the Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival.

The annual festival will be held Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 25-26, at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe.

Special whiskeys and beers will be available and entertainment will be provided.

Cost is $30 per person.

Reservations are required.
