Mrs. Jessie Barmore, 72, of West Monroe, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment was in Mineral Springs Cemetery in Ruston. Visitation was held Monday evening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis Fitch and Rena Mae Fitch; husband; Clayton Barmore Sr.; sons, Christopher and Prentice Lee Barmore; and sister, Marie Bennette.
Survivors include her sons, William Lloyd, James Allen and Clayton Barmore Jr.; brother, Willie Lee Fitch; sister, Catherine Virginia Vines; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Danny Cummings, Christopher Allen Barmore, Robert Skipper, Kevin Lane Young Jr., Justin Lane Young and Bubba Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Causey Jr. and Claude.

Maggie Magnolia Warren Beasley
Mrs. Maggie Magnolia Warren Beasley, 94, of West Monroe, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Stoneybrook Assisted Living.
Her funeral was at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 11, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Charles Martindale officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was immediately before the service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.S. Beasley; son, Raymond Beasley; mother, Vida Veasey Warren; father, Tip E. Warren; two sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include her grandsons, David Beasley and Jonathan Beasley; one great-grandson; very special nephew and niece, Rev. Otis "Buddy" Moore and wife, Naomi; Dianne Hibbard and husband Butch; sister-in-law, Katie Beasley; several nephews, nieces and other family members; and many friends.

Mrs. Aline Harrell Bennett, 90, of Start, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Start Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville. Visitation was held Monday evening at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Solen Bennett; her parents; two sisters; four brothers; and one grandson.
Survivors include daughters, Dixie Noel, Glenda O'Neal, Olita Petch, Rebecca Davis and Wanda Towers; sons, Frank Bennett, Fred Bennett, Robert Bennett, Benson Bennett, Bryan Bennett and Dallas Bennett; brothers, Dalton Harrell and Hubert Harrell; sister, Jackie Grammer; and 16 grandchildren.

Jesse L. Carter Sr., 83, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, in Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Leckie Carter in 1995 and two grandchildren, Micah Carter and Steven LeCompte.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Yvonne Carter; son, Thomas Roland Carter Jr.; parents, Cora and Howard P. Carter; and brothers, Roy Carter and John A. Carter.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Carter; sons, Howard Carter and wife, Celeste, Jamie Waugh and wife, T.K., Nick Waugh and wife, Leanne, and Ro Carter and wife, Brandi; six grandchildren, Nicholas and Caroline Waugh, Alise, Cole and Jack Carter, and Thomas Roland Carter III; brother, Howard P. Carter and wife, Ruth; sisters-in-law, Mary Carter and Frances Carter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, J.D. Reeves.
Survivors include sons, Larry Reeves and wife, Pat, of Fayetteville, Ga., and Terry Reeves and wife, Linda, of Monroe; four grandchildren, Donald Reeves and wife, Amanda, Daran Reeves and wife, Yvette, all of Monroe, Lt. Col. Larry Reeves Jr. and wife, Christie, of Fort Knox, Ky., and Jana Reeves Wiggins and husband, Ben, of Moultrie, Ga.; nine great-grandchildren, Analeise and John Clay Reeves, Thomas, Taylor, and Matthew Reeves, Morgann and Mitchell Reeves, and Blake and Leah Grace Wiggins; brother-in-law, Philip Reeves and wife, Barbara, of Jackson, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
