Story Archives: Wossman opens 2008 in style

Wossman opens 2008 in style
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Wossman leaned on a strong defensive effort to propel them to a 28-7 win over Logansport to open the 2008 regular season.

Wildcats running back Robert Williams ran for 214 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wossman offense, while quarterback Bam Charelston was 4-of-9 for 49 yards through the air.

A quick 20-0 lead for Wossman was the result of a dominating offensive line as well as a stone-wall performance up front by the defense.

Logansport appeared to be outmanned most of the night because of Wossman's size and athleticism.

Charleston ran for a score following a long score by Williams to push Wossman ahead in the first half.

Logansport quarterback DaKendrick Wilson scored the only Tiger touchdown.

Logansport fumbled on its offensive possession. That set up the Wildcats to take control of the game from the beginning.

Wossman will host Carroll in one of the area's biggest rivalries on Friday night. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
