Author Rickey E. Pittman will be singing and playing guitar at the Daily Harvest Bakery and Deli from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30.

Pittman is the author of the children's book, "Jim Limber Davis: A Black Orphan in the Confederate White House," "Stories of the Confederate South," and the upcoming "Scottish Alphabet", due in September. Book copies will be available.

The store is located at 1104 Forsythe Ave. in Monroe.
