Four Monroe-area Super 1 Foods and Brookshire's employees were recently honored as district winners at Brookshire Grocery Co.'s annual Partner Recognition Event in West Monroe.

The company has named Linda Berry, of the Brookshire's Food Store on Sterlington Road in Monroe, an Aggressive Hospitality Contest winner; Barbara Plumley, a cashier at the Super 1 Foods store in West Monroe, Cashier of the Year Contest winner; Curtis Wilson, a stocker at the Brookshire's on Sterlington Road in Monroe, Stocker of the Year Contest winner; and William Whitehead, courtesy clerk at the Brookshire's on North 18th Street in Monroe, Courtesy Clerk of the Year Contest winner.

Aggressive Hospitality winner selection was based on outstanding attitude, appearance, job performance, consistency and company loyalty, while cashiers were evaluated on customer service skills, scan times, job knowledge, accuracy, attitude, and cooperation with management and co-workers. Stocker of the Year winners were selected based on many criteria including work ethic, average cases stocked, observing safety policies, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and rotating stock, with courtesy clerks being tested on their bagging skills, as well as an evaluation of their overall job performance, particularly in the areas of customer service, professionalism, and appearance.

"We are proud of these winners for taking care of business day in and day out," said Rick Rayford, president-chief executive officer.

As district winners, Berry received a $1,000 travel voucher and Plumley, Wilson and Whitehead received $500 cash.
