posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Med-Camps of Louisiana will host its 14th annual Fun Shoot Sporting Clay tournament at Wild Wings in Downsville on Saturday, Aug. 16.

The five-man team event is limited to the first 50 teams and is open to shooters of all skill levels. Individual shooters are welcome and corporate team packages are available.

There will be door prizes, a band and a raffle for a shotgun. A bragging rights trophy will be awarded. A catfish lunch will be served and is also available for $7 to non-shooters. This year's event is sponsored by Community Trust Bank and Vantage Health Plans.

Preceding the Fun Shoot, Med-Camps will host a dinner and auction at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. The event will be at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Conference Center in Monroe. There will be both a live and silent auction held that night with items ranging from guided fishing and hunting trips to vacation packages and hotel accommodations. Tickets are $25 per person and table reservations can be made for parties of eight to 10 people.

Tickets can be purchased at the Med-Camps office in West Monroe, 102 Thomas Road, Ste. 615.

All proceeds from both events go directly towards Med-Camps of Louisiana's summer camping program for chronically ill and disabled children.
