The Ad Club of Northeast Louisiana will present an evening of political parody at their third annual Gridiron show, set for 7 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at West Monroe Convention Center.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. This year's show, "Gridiron: camPAIN '08," revives the Holier Than Thou 1st Church Choir with renditions of "Blessed Insurance," "Amazing Race" and "Oh, Ba-Ma, My Lord, Oh-Ba-Ma."

Local news anchor John Denison will again report the news that's not fit for real TV, while rewrites of "These Boots are Made for Walkin'," "My Favorite Things" and Bill Clinton singing the hip-hop favorite "Hill's Got Back" are just a few of this year's sketches.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the West Monroe Convention Center. Proceeds benefit the Mal Cooley Scholarship Fund administered by the Advertising Club of Northeast Louisiana. The evening entertainment also includes food and adult beverages.

For more information, contact the West Monroe Convention Center at 396-5000.
