Sister Eileen Corcoran Sister Eileen Corcoran, OSF, 94, passed away at St. Francis Medical Center after serving more than seven decades as a Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady. A Mass of the Resurrection was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, in the St. Francis Medical Center Chapel with Bishop Michael Duca officiating. Interment was at St. Matthew Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe. Visitation was Friday with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at the chapel. Survivors include her sister, Sr. Marie Edana Corcoran, OSF, a member of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Order; three nieces, Margaret, Mary and Chrissy; and her lifelong friends and caregivers, Sharon Burton, LaVerne Patrick, Louise Turner and Angela Jones. Leon Horace Dyer Mr. Leon Horace Dyer, 86, of Monroe and formerly of Vidalia, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
