Camp Pat planned
by Joe Durham, Jr. - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The fourth annual Monsters of the Gridiron prep football 7 on 7 football tournament will be held from 9 a.m., until noon Friday, June 27 at the Ouachita Christian High School football field.

Teams of players from area high schools will compete for the official title of Monsters of the Gridiron Champion.

Teams will be competing for the Official Monsters of the Gridiron Trophy and local bragging rights.

Also on Saturday, June 28, the fourth annual Camp Pat Football Camp for kids will begin at 8 a.m., at OCS. Registered campers from 6-18 will receive a free t-shirt (while supplies last).

All registration will be done at the camp site.

The free camp will last from 9 a.m., to noon.

Minnesota Vikings pro football defensive tackle Pat Williams will be leading the camp with help from other former pros.

Williams started this camp four years ago and he says it is an effort to put back something for the community where he got started.

Williams is a Wossman graduate and Texas A&M standout. He first played for the Buffalo Bills for about eight years before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings, his current team.
