Linda J. Abshier, 69, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. today, June 12, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum, with interment following. Visitation was immediately before the service. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Gary Leonard Aymond
Funeral services for Gary Leonard Aymond, of Colleyville, Texas, and formerly of West Monroe, were at 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Minister Allan Bailey officiated. Interment was at Monroe Memorial Park. Visitation was Sunday evening.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby L. Aymond.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Roy Post; two sisters, Laura Aymond and Carole Cox and her husband, Gerard; brother, Richard Post; and a nephew, Huland Boatner.
Pallbearers were Richard Post, Troy Counts, Randy Counts, Randy Knot, Huland Boatner and David O'Donnell.

Theda "Momma" Bryant
Theda "Momma" Bryant, 80, of West Monroe, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Milton Pray officiating. Interment was in Hasley Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother.
Survivors include her children, George Bryant and wife, Gayle, of Texas, Carrol Shaw and husband, Bubba, Mary Rice and husband, Zach, and Ginny Allen and husband, James; grandchildren, Shawn Bryant and wife, Dawn, Trey Bryant and wife, Angela of Texas, Kandi Pate and husband, Billy, Nicki Johns and husband, Jamie, and Andy Allen and wife, Lori; great-grandchildren, Reed, James, and Aubri Bryant, Sumer Pate, Stone Johns and A.J. Allen; and many good friends.
Her grandsons and great-grandsons served as pallbearers: Shawn Bryant, Trey Bryant, Billy Pate, Jamie Johns, Andy Allen, Reed Bryant and Stone Johns.

Bobby Lee Butler Sr.
Mr. Bobby Lee Butler Sr., 67, of West Monroe, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008.
Memorial services were at 3 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Robert Lindsey officiating. Visitation was immediately before the service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee and Leona Neal Butler.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carole Butler; three sons, Bob Butler Jr. and wife, Traci, Randy Butler and wife, NaTanya, and Todd Butler; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Dakota, Rebekah, Caleb, Joshua and Daniel.

Virginia "Ginny" Davis
Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Davis 73, of West Monroe, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Huey H. Hughes officiating. Interment was in Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe. Visitation was immediately before the service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Edwin.
Survivors include her children Jerry E. "Eddie" Davis Jr., Peggy Robertson, Carmen Brodnax and Erin Hicks; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Kersh, Martha Sanders, Kathleen Dew, Elsie Waggoner, Betty Wood and Rachel Leachman; and brothers, Homer Gray, Luther Gray and Richard Gray Millikin.
Pallbearers were Brad Robertson, Beau Robertson, Justin Brodnax, Jonathan Davis, Larry Taylor and Jason McClary. Honorary pallbearers were Jared Davis, Brian Robertson and Jason Solloway.

Buck Bowman Gresham
Buck Bowman Gresham died Sunday, June 8, 2008, in Calhoun.
Private services were held under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Buck Jr. and Randy Wayne Gresham.
Survivors included his wife of 66 years, Pauline Whittington Gresham; son Gerald "Jerry" M. Gresham and wife, Karen, of Calhoun; daughter, Sandra Louise Carter of West Monroe; daughter-in-law, Lonnae Baker Gresham of Long Beach, Calif.; four sisters, Lessee Young Mael and Maxine Barkley of West Monroe, Sabine Mazzella and husband, Frank, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Yvonne Gardner of Paso Rables, Calif.; five grandchildren, Libby R. Seifort and husband, Jeremiah, Jeffery Scott Gresham and Randall Young Gresham all of Reno, Nev., Paula Hardwick of Memphis, Tenn., and Alton Ray Hardwich Jr. of West Monroe; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

James M. Jenkins Jr.
Mr. James M. Jenkins, Jr., 84, of Monroe, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008, in Monroe.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. today, June 12, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, with Bro. Larry Linson officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Wednesday evening.
He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Jenkins and a grandson, Stephen Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Faye Jenkins; children, Larry Jenkins and wife, Janet, Linda Tallent and husband, Jim, Randy Jenkins and wife, Chris, Jeffrey Jenkins and Jennifer Manning and husband, Doug; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Shirley May Langley
Mrs. Shirley May Langley, 67, of West Monroe, went home to be with her savior on Monday, June 9, 2008.
Memorial services were at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in West Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her father, James W. McElyea and three brothers, Michael, Billy and James.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Langley of West Monroe; daughters, Tina Lyons of Youngsville, and Linda Driggars of San Antonio, Texas; son, Robert Denham of Orange County, Calif.; mother, Dorothy McElyea of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Sarah Lyons and Brien McLuckie; and many friends.

J.T. "Cowboy" Lowery
Mr. J. T. "Cowboy" Lowery, 89, of Sterlington, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008, at St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Elizabeth Foy officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Saturday evening at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Jessie Lowery; five sisters; two brothers; grandchildren, Travis Lowery and Seth Lowery; and great-grandchild, Taylor Linder.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Maudine Martin Lowery; children, J.D. Lowery of Bastrop, Judy Foy and husband, Richard, of Farmerville, Dale Lowery and wife, Joyce, of Sterlington, and Ronny Lowery and wife, Pam, of Sterlington; grandchildren, Tanya, Kris, Jeremy, Shannon, Ronny Gene II, Annie, Linzi, Cody, Zachary, Trever, Madelynn, Tristan and Kristina; and special niece, Helen Hogard.

Morris Nelson McClain Jr.
Morris Nelson McClain Jr. 84, of West Monroe, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, in West Monroe.

Interment was in Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Nancy McClain; four brothers, Eul, Willie, Charles and Ray; three sisters, Addie Jacobs, Audie Parrish and Helen Monk; daughter, Ginger McClain; grandson, Jonathan McClain; granddaughter, Hollie Smith; and a son-in-law, Lonnie Murphy.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Seleda Smelley McClain; son, Gary McClain and wife, Debbie; daughters, Brenda Murphy and Rebecca Barr and husband, Tracy; four grandchildren, Gara Fluitt and husband, Chris, Amanda Moore and husband, Mark, Katey Barr and Nikki Barr; seven great-grandchildren, Tate, Garrett and Cary Thompson, Amber and Dylan Forrester, Jason Wilson and Cilas Fluitt; sister, Maxine Corley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Larry Minter, Richard Poole, Les Davis, Chris Fluitt, Matt Currie and Jack Dement. Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Tillman and Jerald Bryant.

Nina Louise Perot
Mrs. Nina Louise "Lucy" Perot, 74, of Baton Rouge, and formerly of Bastrop, passed away Monday, June 2.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Interment followed. Visitation was immediately before the service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Perot; and parents, Juhan Joseph and Alma Louise Burroughs.
Survivors include her brothers-in-law, J.C. "Pete" Perot, Johnny Perot, Gene Perot and George Perot; sister-in-law, Audrey Hawsey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Robert Sims
Robert "Bob" Walter Sims, 57, of Kempner, Texas, and formerly of West Monroe, died Sunday, May 17, 2008, at his residence.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Bernard J. Schey officiating. Sims had requested his body be donated to science. Arrangements were by Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Sims, and his brother, Dale A. Sims.
Survivors include his son, Shane Sims of Dallas; sister, Susan Cole of Calhoun; brothers, Harry Sims of Kempner and Carl Sims of LaGrange, Ga.; mother, Traudl Sims of Kempner; and grandson, Hunter Sims.

Larry Robert Vanderberg
Mr. Larry Robert Vanderberg, 61, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Tara Vanderberg and fiancé, Nick; sons, Charlie Vanderberg and wife, Laura, Hunter Vanderberg and Ray Sylvestri; mother, Melba Vanderberg; twin brother, Gary Vanderberg; brothers, Stephen Vanderberg, and Hubert Yeldell; sister, Melba Yeldell; four grandchildren, David Layn Jones, Madison Henderson, Tyler Sylvestri and Brianna Sylvestri; and mother of his children, Pamela Knighton.
