Mr. Douglas E. Baker, 75, of Downsville, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008, at St. Francis North Medical Center in Monroe.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rhonda Brown and Gerald Krause officiating.Visitation was immediately before the service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter, Susan Marie Baker McConnell.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Smith Baker; children, Cindy Baker Quarles of West Monroe, Karen Baker Knight of Ruston; step children, Sandra Jean Loftin and husband, Gerald, of Conover, N.C. and Ron Dowell of Catauba, N.C.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Elizabeth Baker Parker of Serepta; brother, James Jewell Baker and wife, Peggy, of Edenton, N.C.; special friend, Wayne Woodall and wife, Bea, of Monroe; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in honor of Mr. Baker's grandson, Trey Knight.

Charles Ester Blackwell Jr.
Mr. Charles Ester (Charlie) Blackwell, Jr., 78 of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2008, at his home.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Visitation was Monday evening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Blackwell Sr. and Edna Mae Blackwell and his sister, Joann Rushing.
Survivors include his daughter, Brandy Harrison and husband, Jamie, and Brandy's mother, Susie Blackwell, all of West Monroe; two sons, Al Blackwell of Dallas, Texas, and Andy Blackwell and his wife, Carla, of Conway, Ark. and their mother, Beverly Tolar of Hot Springs, Ark.; brothers, James Blackwell of Bastrop, and Buddy Blackwell and wife, Ina, of San Antonio, Texas; four grandsons, Chase and Jon Tyler Blackwell of Conway, Ark., and Jim and Ryan Harrison of West Monroe.

Nanetta Cecile Brooks, 90, of Calhoun, died Thursday, May 29, 2008, at her residence.
Her funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Burial was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun. Visitation was Saturday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Brooks; son, Robert W. Brooks; and great-grandson, Robert Wayne (Lil' Bobby) Brooks III.
Survivors include her sons, James H. (Jim) Brooks and wife, Gayle, Richard E. Brooks and wife, Sandra; daughter, Nanette Diel and husband, James; sister, Nelda Jacobs; brother, Reggie Bryan; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Agnes E. Graff Danna, 87, of West Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, in West Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lionel Graff and Jimmy Danna; daughter, Sandra Graff; three brothers, Belton, Ronnie and Joseph (Son) Cooper; sister and brother-in-law, Myrtle and Murphy Brown; and a niece and her husband, Dolores Brown Moxley and Tom Young.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Clay and husband, Vernon Clay; two grandchildren, Victoria Clay and Forrest Clay; twin brother, Alton Cooper and wife, Hilda; special niece, Linda Ragan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jennie Mallard Donnell, 76, of Houston, Texas, and formerly of West Monroe, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008, at the Seven Acres Senior Care Home in Houston.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday, May 26, at Antioch Cemetery in West Monroe with Rev. Jimmie Pyles officiating. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Survivors include her son, Randy Donnell and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Danielle and Samantha Jo Donnell; brother, Joe Mallard; her favorite aunt B, Blanche Jones; and aunt, Tempie Grant.

John Franklin Greeson Jr., 62, of West Monroe, passed away Friday, may 23, 2008, at Overton Brooks Veteran Hospital in Shreveport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Greeson and brother, Lee Greeson.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Greeson; daughters, Jennifer Greeson, Beth Blevins and husband, Darren; stepdaughters, Debra Johnson, and Janette Maimone; grandchildren, Joseph Gregory, Brittney Martello, Aaron Blevins, Seth Blevins, Chelsey Blevins, Janelle Maimone, Rebecca Johnson and Jessica Johnson; and sister, Rebecca Brantley.

Wesley Lee Halbrook, 57, died the evening May 25, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Louie and Helen Halbrook of Baton Rouge. He is survived by his twin sister, whom he dearly loved, Alice Halbrook Middleton and her husband, William Thomas Middleton, of Monroe; a brother, Arthur Marshall Halbrook and his wife, Judith Jones Halbrook, of Baton Rouge; two nephews, Adam Thomas Middleton and his wife, Shannon, and daughter ,Hannah; Kirk Andrew Middleton and his wife, Jessica, also of Monroe; one niece, Nicole Lea Fuller and her husband, Chris, of Monroe; a great-niece, Megan Nicole Fuller; a great-nephew, Lance Austin Fuller; and his devoted friend, Dr. Gloria G. Horning of Shreveport.

Mr. John Stephen Santone, 58, of Monroe, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 24, 2008, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Sebastian Kallarackal officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was Wednesday evening with a vigil wake service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Cooper Santone; and sister, Christine Winterrowd.
Survivors include his wife, Hallie Lee Miller Santone of Monroe; daughter, Jill Santone Gingles and husband, Mack, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sons, Adam Lee Santone of Lafayette, Ind. and Luke Stephen Santone of Monroe; father, John C. Santone of Shreveport; two sisters, Janine Laenger and husband, Keith, of Keatchie; and Sharon Griffin and husband, Johnny, of Bossier City; three brothers, Kevin Santone and wife, Pat, of Tyler, Texas; Roger Santone and wife, Sue, of Argyle, Texas; and Brian Santone and wife, Diane, of Haughton; brother-in-law, Bob Winterrowd of Collierville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
