The March of Dimes North Louisiana Division will hold the first USSSA Sanctioned Softball Tournament, "Batting for Babies" on Saturday, June 21 at the Minden Recreation Complex.

Proceeds will benefit March of Dimes. The tournament will be sanctioned by the USSSA and is double elimination. A two homerun rule will be enforced. First through third places will win a trophy donated by Smith Petty Awards in Shreveport, and each team member of those teams will receive a Batting for Babies T-shirt.

The cost per team is $150. Registration is required by 5 p.m. Thursday, June 19. To participate, contact Kelli Strong at the March of Dimes at 869-0400.
