Peak Performance club does well at meet
The Peak Performance Track Club started off its summer competition season by hosting the Peak Performance Track & Field Invitational meet Saturday.
In all, the club's competitors won 28 first places, 19 second places and 15 third places. More than 538 athletes of 16 teams from Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Florida competed at the meet.
Peak Performance Track Club's first-place winners include:
Sub-Bantam Boys 4x100-meter relay: Caleb Ross, Jalen Jones, Mikhi Nelson, Malcolm Moore, 1:15.38.
Youth Boys4 x100-meter relay: Delwin Nelson, Nikel Jones, Devonte McFarland, Ahkeem Henderson, 52.32.
Youth Girls 4x100-meter relay: Kadeirda Pierce, Brittney Gamble, Erin Campbell, Dajai Kennon, 54.47.
DaMone Jones, Midget Boys: 80-meter hurdles, 17.72.
Nicholas Stroud, Midget Boys: High jump, 3-7' 1.09.
Courtney Wallace, Midget Boys: Javelin 80-6 1/2 , 24.54.
Ahkeem Henderson, Youth Boys: 100-meter dash 11.50.
