OCS to host 7-on-7 football tournament May 31

Ouachita Christian School will host a 7-on-7 football tournament Saturday, May 31.

7-on-7 is played very similarly to the 6-on-6 game popular in smaller schools. It is also very similar to the arena football seen on television.

"This is a great opportunity to work on your passing game," said OCS coach Steven Fitzhugh. "You can work on offense and defense."

The tournament will be played on four 40-yard football fields. Each game will be two 15-minute quarters and will start at 9 a.m. The games will be over by about 3 p.m., Fitzhugh said.

The event is free and open to the public.
