Charlotte Jo Chisholm Adams
Charlotte Jo Chisholm Adams, 76, entered into eternity while being held in the arms of her son on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Landmark Nursing Center. Her heavenly entry came after a long and debilitating illness.
A celebration of her life was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at First United Methodist Church of West Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the funeral home and immediately before the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles P. and Sarah Kate Chisholm, her infant twin sister, Charlene Patricia, and her children's father, Kenneth L. Adams.
Survivors include her three precious children, Vicki Adams Cansler and husband, Larry, Kendy Adams Fletcher and husband, Chad, and Chuck Adams; six grandchildren, Camilea and Clayton Cansler, Brenton Baranek and wife, Tanisha, Scott Baranek and wife, Melissa, and Ashton and Caroline Adams.
Pallbearers were Brenton Baranek, Scott Baranek, Clayton Cansler, Chet Bradley, Doug Caldwell, Mickey Cook, Barry Bell and Whitty Hood. Reserved seating was provided for the honorary pallbearers, the members of the Cultura Book Club and the Upper Room Sunday School Class.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church Day Care which Jo organized or to the Alzheimer's Association.

Carolyn Sue Hogg Bryan
Carolyn Sue Hogg Bryan, 68, died Sunday, April 20, 2008.
Her funeral was at 3 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Downsville Methodist Church in Downsville with Laymond Tucker, Reggie Skains and Fran Holman officiating. Interment was in Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott; father, Kipe Hogg; brothers
'Rags', Landry and Wayne Hogg; and sister, Norma Jean.
Survivors include her daughter, Keli Bryan and husband, Hany Nagib, of Downsville; son, Jeff Bryan and wife, Tempest; grandchildren, Trisha, Jeffrey, Jessica and Jared of Downsville; two great-grandchildren, Aden and Jeffrey Jr.; mother, Ruth Hogg of Grayson; two sisters, Johnnie Beatty of Ruston and Sandra Rushing of Grayson; three brothers, Billy Hogg of Grayson, Glenn and Gary Hogg of Lamesa, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends, including her very special friend Michael 'Fluffy' Major.
The family requests that memorials be made to Bryan Park in Downsville, Families Against Mandatory Minimums (FAMM), or their favorite charity.
Pallbearers were Reggie Beatty, Clint Rushing, Jaimie Hogg, Billy Kipe Hogg,Todd Quarles and Chris Hatchett.
Honorary pallbearers were Linda Baird, Jane Campbell, Stephanie Douglas, Abigail Edwards, Julia Faye Guice, Carol Hudson, Phyllis McIntosh, Fran Holman McKenzie, Doris Roberts, Suwona Skains and Tommie Sue Slaughter.

Ira Cagle Jr.
Ira Cagle, Jr., 83, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center following a brief illness.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Visitation was held immediately before the service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Cagle Sr. and Olive B. Cagle.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley Hoffmann Cagle; two sons, Tod Cagle and wife, Sally, of West Monroe and Toby Cagle and wife, Michelle, of Monroe; one brother, Kenny Cagle and wife, Winnie, of Monroe; five grandsons, Jeremy, Bryan, Josh, Chad and Chase Cagle; three great-grandchildren, Mary Helen, Sally Grace and Downey; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Memorials may be sent to Ouachita Council on Aging.

George Edward Clingen Sr.
Mr. George Edward Clingen Sr., 79, of Monroe, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, at Morehouse General Hospital.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Todd Wooden and Dr. Vick Carter officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop. Visitation was Tuesday evening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maze Ivy Clingen and Anna Bell Freeland; and brother, James Clingen.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Braswell Clingen; four sons, Kerry D. Clingen and wife, Melinda, of West Monroe, Jerry D. Clingen and wife, Cassi, of Bastrop, George T. Clingen and wife, Becky, of Pasadena, Texas, and George E. (Eddie) Clingen II of Bastrop; three daughters, Diane Hodges and husband, David, of Bastrop, Theresa Kay Kendall and husband, Al, of Channelview, Texas, and Patricia Monroe and husband, David, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Rachel Byson and Ella Griffin; one brother, Lemmie Clingen; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Anna Belle Haynes Farmer
Anna Belle Haynes Farmer, 65, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at her residence following a brief illness.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn and Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment was at Monroe Memorial Park. Visitation was Friday evening.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Ray Haynes; father, James Haynes and grandfather, Leroy Haynes of Wilmot, Ark..
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Alton Wayne Farmer Sr. of Fort Worth; son, Wayne Farmer Jr. of Monroe; daughter, Dana Farmer Sparks and husband, Jimmy, of Fort Worth; mother, Ouida Yates Haynes of Monroe; sister, Brenda Haynes Haddad of Monroe; brother, Eddie Dwayne Haynes of Baton Rouge; sister, Marsha Haynes Blackman and husband, Billy Wayne, of Monroe; grandchildren, Amber Farmer, Alyssa Farmer, Brooke Farmer and Paige Farmer; great-grandchildren, Alexis Farmer, Brayson Donelson and Hayden Farmer; nieces, Heather Lynn Blackman and Stephanie Jones; nephews, Chad Haddad and Jason Haynes; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends.

Larry Mitchell Hall
Larry Mitchell Hall, 56, of West Monroe, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008.
His funeral was at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Gary Traylor officiating. Visitation was Thursday evening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Sally Hall.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Yruegas Hall; daughter, Jessica Hall; son, Jason Hall and wife, Karen; four grandchildren, BrookeLynn Dickey, Hunter Dickey, Abigail Hall and Kala Hall; two sisters, Veda Pruitt and husband, Jinks, and Sandra Hall; brother, Tommy Hall and wife, Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fred Henry
Mr. Fred Henry, 74, of Sterlington, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe.
Memorial services were at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at his residence with Rev. Mike Reed officiating. His funeral was Friday in North Little Rock, Ark., with Rev. Blake Paul officiating under the direction of Roller Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Interment was in Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery in North Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burt Dallas and Jo Eddie Henry; and brother, Bert Dallas Henry Jr.
Survivors include his children, Sharon Rose Henry of New London, Conn., Dallas Paul Henry and wife, Jennifer Clark Henry, of Mabelvale, Ark., Paula Kay Henry of Corinth, Texas, and Francis Ann Henry of Monroe; sisters, Dean Brake, Dalene Carpenter of Vallejo, Calif., and Peggy McElrath of North Little Rock; brothers, Carroll Otis Henry of North Little Rock, David Elijah Henry of Sherwood, Ark.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Amanda Redden Odom
Mrs. Nell Odom, 78, of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, in West Monroe after a courageous battle with cancer.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at First Baptist Church of West Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn and Dr. John Avant officiating. Interment was in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Wednesday evening at the funeral home and immediately before the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Odom in 1991; and her parents, T.A. (Tom) and Ivabelle Redden.
Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Deb (Deborah) O. Hoover and husband, Jack of Monroe, Jackie O. Smith and husband Dan, of Denham Springs, and Sally (Sara) O. Martin and husband, David, of Orlando, Fla.; grandsons, Austin and wife, Ashley Smith, and Travis Smith; granddaughter Kelly Hoover Beard; two great-grandchildren, John Lewis and Cassandra Beard; brothers, Tom Redden and wife, Betty, John Yates Redden and wife, Lougene; sister, Ann Ivareese Adair; sister-in-law, Erma Lee Winningham and brother-in-law, George Odom and wife, Sandra; and two special friends, Julene Aldridge and Vivian Muckleroy.
Pallbearers were Michael Williams, Ken Taylor, Kenneth Handel Taylor, Ed Regan, Ron Vinings and Bob Eisenstadt.
The family requests that instead of floral tributes, memorial contributions be made to missions work, other Christian organizations spreading the Gospel around the world or the "Friends of Black Bayou."

Lionel Parsons
Mr. Lionel Parsons, 77, of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, in West Monroe.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Landmark Nursing Home in West Monroe with Rev. Joel Brackett officiating. Arrangements were by Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Tuesday evening at Luna Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, sister and brother. Survivors include his four daughters, Sherry Gooden and husband, Wayne, Zenita Tate and husband, Terry Holdsworth, Kimberly Nichols and husband, Ricky, and Amy Franklin; two stepdaughters, Beverly Ellis and Dewanna Mason; mother of his children, Mary Parsons; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

James Claude Ramsey
James Claude Ramsey, 79, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in Calhoun.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Interment was in Beulah Cemetery in Calhoun under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Bertha Lee Ramsey.
Survivors include his daughter, June Kane and husband, L.V.; son, Bobby Parker and wife, Mildred; sister, Christine Wainwright; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and canine companion, Sam.
Pallbearers were Jamie Parker, J. L. Kane, Mark Lenard, Randy Watson, Billy Smith and Terry Collie. Honorary pallbearers were Dusty Kane, John Collins and Thomas Collins.

Ella Mae Taylor
Mrs. Ella Mae Taylor, 96, of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Landmark Nursing Home.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Mark Fenn officiating. Interment was in Wilhite Cemetery near Point. Visitation was Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Taylor of Point; her parents; and her 10 siblings.

Virginia A. Tuttle
Virginia A. "Ginger" Tuttle, 65, a Monroe native, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008, in Charleston, S.C.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at All Saints Church in Pawleys Island, S.C. with Rev. Terrell L. Glenn and Rev. Doug Harvey officiating. Visitation was held at Graham Funeral Home in Georgetown, S.C.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Col. William C. Tuttle(USAF, Ret.); two daughters, Robin E. Tuttle of Charlotte, N.C., and Julie P. Tuttle of Chapel Hill, N.C.; one grandson, Jackson M. Tuttle-Luft of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Peggy Horton of Pawleys Island; and her parents, Samuel Donald and Carolyn Renwick Donald of Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sissy Weaver.
