Obituaries published on May 1, 2008 Charlotte Jo Chisholm Adams Charlotte Jo Chisholm Adams, 76, entered into eternity while being held in the arms of her son on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Landmark Nursing Center. Her heavenly entry came after a long and debilitating illness. A celebration of her life was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at First United Methodist Church of West Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the funeral home and immediately before the service at the church. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles P. and Sarah Kate Chisholm, her infant twin sister, Charlene Patricia, and her children's father, Kenneth L. Adams. Survivors include her three precious children, Vicki Adams Cansler and husband, Larry, Kendy Adams Fletcher and husband, Chad, and Chuck Adams; six grandchildren, Camilea and Clayton Cansler, Brenton Baranek and wife, Tanisha, Scott Baranek and wife, Melissa, and Ashton and Caroline Adams. Pallbearers were Brenton Baranek, Scott Baranek, Clayton Cansler, Chet Bradley, Doug Caldwell, Mickey Cook, Barry Bell and Whitty Hood. Reserved seating was provided for the honorary pallbearers, the members of the Cultura Book Club and the Upper Room Sunday School Class. Carolyn Sue Hogg Bryan Carolyn Sue Hogg Bryan, 68, died Sunday, April 20, 2008. Her funeral was at 3 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Downsville Methodist Church in Downsville with Laymond Tucker, Reggie Skains and Fran Holman officiating. Interment was in Downsville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott; father, Kipe Hogg; brothers 'Rags', Landry and Wayne Hogg; and sister, Norma Jean. Survivors include her daughter, Keli Bryan and husband, Hany Nagib, of Downsville; son, Jeff Bryan and wife, Tempest; grandchildren, Trisha, Jeffrey, Jessica and Jared of Downsville; two great-grandchildren, Aden and Jeffrey Jr.; mother, Ruth Hogg of Grayson; two sisters, Johnnie Beatty of Ruston and Sandra Rushing of Grayson; three brothers, Billy Hogg of Grayson, Glenn and Gary Hogg of Lamesa, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends, including her very special friend Michael 'Fluffy' Major. Ira Cagle Jr. Ira Cagle, Jr., 83, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center following a brief illness. A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Visitation was held immediately before the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Cagle Sr. and Olive B. Cagle.
