OCS hosts state tennis finals
Tennis fans will be able to get their fill next week as Ouachita Christian School hosts the LHSAA state tennis tournament for classes 1A, B, and C.
The tournament will be held at the University of Louisiana-Monroe's Heard Stadium.
Athletes from all across the state will be participating in the semifinal and final rounds of the tournament during the three-day event which runs Monday through Wednesday.
OCS is the host for this event.
The OCS players who will be participating include Chelsea and Brooke Humphries, along with Natalia Krier.
The Humphries' sisters are undefeated going into the tournament.
St. Frederick, which hosted the regionals,has several top players as well.
Garrett Whipple and Alex Shell are the top boys players, but others include Matthew Thibodaux, Michael Fontenot, James Simon and Nathan Ryan.
Other teams include Cedar Creek, Oak Grove, Choudrant, St. Mary's and St. Joseph.
