"Opportunities for Healthcare Reform in the 21st Century" will be the topic of a community forum scheduled for 7:30-9 a.m. Friday, May 2, at the Monroe Civic Center Conference Hall's Ouachita-Jackson Room.

Featured speaker Laura Martin from the FMOL Health System in Baton Rouge will discuss the Louisiana healthcare coverage crisis, and a panel of experts will answer questions and discuss the local impact of the uninsured.

The forum ends Cover the Uninsured Week, which runs from April 27-May 3. The week is set aside to focus on the fact that 47 million Americans, including more than nine million children, are uninsured.

To reserve a seat, call 327-4185.
