Four softball teams have advanced to the quarterfinal round in the state tournament which begins Friday at Frasch Park in Sulphur.

In Class 4A, No. 9 seed Neville will face the No. 1 seed Vandebilt at 2 p.m. on Field 15.

Also in Class 4A, the No. 2 seed West Ouachita will take on No. 7 seed Alexandria at 4 p.m., on Field 15.

In Class 1A, No. 4 seed Ouachita Christian School will tangle with No. 12 seed Vermillion Catholic at 2 p.m., on Field 17.

In Class C, Claiborne Christian will take on Hackberry at 6 p.m., on Field 20.

Winners advance to the semifinal round on Saturday. The finals will be played Saturday night.
