COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN Church, 1901 Milton St. in Monroe, will honor Scottish heritage with the "Kirkin' O' The Tartans" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20. The service will begin with a procession of tartans led by bagpiper Ted Brody Jr., and followed by Rev. Bruce Rux. Youth will carry the Scottish Confession of Faith and the tartans. Church members, their families and friends who have died since the last Kirkin' will be named and remembered during the playing of the Scottish ballad "Flowers of the Forest." The public is invited. |
