Mrs. Henry Franklin Nolte Jr. of Mt. Lebanon, announces the engagement of her daughter, Mary Catherine "GiGi" Nolte of West Monroe, to Michael David Turner, son of Mr. Kenneth Doyle Turner and the late Hazel Turner of Nacogdoches, Texas.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Henry Franklin Nolte Jr. and Ava Nolte of Mt. Lebanon. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franklin Nolte Sr., of Mt. Lebanon, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jay Cook of Saline. She graduated from Cedar Creek School before attending Northeast Louisiana University where she received a degree in Medical Technology. She is employed as a clinical laboratory scientist at St. Francis Medical Center.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Turner and Mr. and Mrs. John Velton Hughes, all of Nacogdoches, Texas. He is a graduate of Cushing High School in Cushing, Texas. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in kinesiology. He is employed by Haverty's Furniture in Monroe.

The couple will marry on Saturday, April 19, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. in Feazel Chapel of First Baptist Church of West Monroe. The couple will reside in West Monroe.
