Dinner theater returns to Cork Room March 28 After an absence of several years, murder mystery dinner theater is set to return to the Twin Cities.
Strauss Theatre Center will present "Reality Bites Back" at the Cork Room March 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. It also will be presented April 4, 5, 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.
Audiences should expect "The Apprentice" meets "Survivor," according to dinner theater director Steve Munz.
Munz said the plot involves a casts of people pitted against one another in a competition to become CEO of a snack food company.
The group recently returned from a survival competition on a deserted island and now must embark on the second leg of their trial -- a game show complete with game show style challenges.
"Of course, something goes terribly wrong when one of the contestants is murdered," said Munz. "And it's up to the audience to figure out who done it, how and why."
Munz said each evening a winner will be selected from the correct audience responses. In keeping with the murder-mystery tradition, that individual will receive their money back.
Dinner theater guests will recognize a number of notable community theater faces in the cast of "Reality Bites Back," including Michael Steele, Michael Wilkes, Stephanie Clark, Mark Addison, Scot Baronet, Travis Kelley, Cindy Scott and Laura Michelle Wolfe.
Tickets are $35 per person and are available by calling the Strauss Theatre Box Office by calling 318.323.6681.
Tickets are reservation-only and are not available at the door. |
