Mr. James "Jimmy" Melvin Bonnett, 59, of West Monroe, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Dr. Greg Clark and Rev. George Bonner officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday evening.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randolph Bonnett Jr., and brother, Jesse Melton Bonnett.
Survivors include his mother, Ovenia Bonnett; brother, Alton M. Bonnett; sister, Linda D. Lambert; sister-in-law, Shirley Bonnett; 14 nieces; and 11 nephews.

Josephine Lasuzzo Cascio
Mrs. Josephine Lasuzzo Cascio, 94, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital.
Her funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Puthuppally officiating. Interment was in St. Matthew Catholic Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe David Cascio; parents, Sam Lasuzzo Sr. and Mary Farace Lasuzzo; sisters, Mary Scalia, Anna Colichia, Sara Sparacino, Rose Gaskins, Grace Peters, and Gussie Schott; and bothers, Joe Lasuzzo, Charlie Lasuzzo, Sam Lasuzzo and Camille Lasuzzo.
Survivors include her son, Victor David Cascio Sr. and wife, Marie; grandsons, Joe David Cascio, II and wife, Rene', Victor David Cascio Jr. and Rodney Christopher Cascio and wife, Caroline; great-grandsons, Joe David Cascio III, Carter Christopher Cascio, Benjamin Maher Cascio and John Christopher Cascio; great-granddaughter, Katherine Marie Cascio; brother, Tony Lasuzzo; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tom Baker, John Lauve, Clint Hixson, Sheriff Elect-Royce Toney, Ed Seymour, Dr. Mike Cage, Judge Scott Leehy and Charles Marsala. Honorary pallbearers were Victor Charles Cascio, Christian Creed, Rev. Scotty Sanders, James Moore, Luke Sanders, Dr. Doug Brown and Dr. Scott Zentner.

Anne R. Gannaway, 87, of Monroe, passed from this life early Thursday, March 20, 2008, after a lengthy illness.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Monroe with Rev. JoAnn Cooper officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation was Friday evening at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Gannaway; siblings, R. Leslie Gannaway, Guy Gannaway Sr., Mildred Gannaway and Billy Gannaway; and her foster sister, Louise Tarpley.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews; Guy Gannaway Jr., Terry Gannaway, Milann Gannaway, Gary Gannaway, Gay G. Brantley, Jan G. Blankenship, Judy G. Willis, Leslie G. Calhoun, Bill Gannaway and Bob Gannaway; many friends; and great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Opal Mae Hammett George, 92, of Eros, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Okaloosa Community with Revs. Scott Thompson and Mike Barnett officiating. Interment was in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was at the church Friday evening and immediately before the service.
Survivors include her son, W.H. George and wife, Barbara; daughter, Gwenette Cummings and husband, Gene; grandsons, Jason George and wife, Audery, Lance George, Travis Cummings and wife, Brennan, Mark Cummings and wife, Kim; three great-grandchildren; brother, Andrew Hammett and wife, Gertrude; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary H. Ginn, 80, of West Monroe, went to join her resurrected Lord at dawn on Easter morning, March 23, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe with Father Frank Coens officiating. Interment was at Faith Memorial Park in Delhi under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Everett Anthony; mother, Leona Anthony; brother, Talmadge Anthony; and son-in-law, John Morton.
Survivors include her loving husband, Angelo, of West Monroe; her beloved daughter, Jennifer Morton of Candia, N.H.; grandson, Joshua Morton of Boston, Mass.; sister, Joyce Anthony of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Polly Anthony of Monroe; one niece; several nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
