One state prep tennis tournament will return to Monroe this season and a new one will be added.

The 4A and the 2A tournaments will be played at the University of Louisiana-Monroe and Kiroli Park in West Monroe, respectively this season.

Last season, Ouachita Christian School hosted the 2A regional tournament. This season, OCS will be host the 1A state tournament the last week of April.

The state 4A tennis tournament will be hosted by Neville.

St. Frederick will host the regional tennis tournament a week earlier, April 17-18.

The state 2A baseball tournament will once again be held at ULM's baseball field but will have a different host.

Ouachita Christian School, which has hosted the tournament since 2004, dropped to 1A. The 1A tournament will be held in Alexandria.

The Sterlington Panthers, who were runner-up to OCS in the '05 tournament, will take over as hosts for the 2A tournament.

The 4A state tournament will also be held at ULM and will begin May 13 and conclude on May 15 with the 2A tournament beginning May 16.

The state prep softball tournament for all classes will once again be held at Sulphur's softball complex.

Last season, four teams from Ouachita Parish made it to the quarterfinals, but only one team, OCS, advanced to the semifinals.

The Eagles have won the district title 20 times.
