DeSiard Country Club cotillion makes debut

The 2007 Bayou DeSiard Country Club Cotillion was held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007.

The following girls made their debuts to the Bayou DeSiard Country Club's president and board.

Christine Whitney Anderson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johannes Anderson. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Conrad Rathman Bohn, the late Mrs. Dulce Buchanan Bohn and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johannes Anderson. She graduated from Neville High School and attends the University of Louisiana-Monroe where she is majoring in agri-business and culinary arts. She was escorted by James Lance Traweek.

Melinda Katherine Czeschin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Christie Czeschin III. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Key David McMurrain Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Christie Czeschin Jr. She graduated from Neville High School and attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., where she is majoring in graphic design. She is a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was escorted by Matthew Aaron Miletello.

Jessica Janette Johnston is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Dixon Johnston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Bishop Johnston Jr., the late Mr. Johnston Jr., Mrs. Stanley Bagwell and the late Mr. Bagwell. She graduated from Neville High School and attends Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she is studying pre-dental. She will participate in sorority rush this spring. She was escorted by Kenneth Brewton Shaw.

Taylor Ann Norris is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joel William Norris. She is the granddaughter of Mr. William Magourias, the late Mrs. Magourias and Dr. and Mrs. William Norris Jr. She graduated from Neville High School and attends Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., where she is a student of Medill School of Journalism. She will participate in sorority rush this spring. She was escorted by Hunter David Fowlkes.

Julie Ann Zambie is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Francis Zambie. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Zambie and the late Mr. and Mrs. Oather Canady. She graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. She attends the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga., where she is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was escorted by Vincent Charles Herlevic.

Abbey Parker Stockstill is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James Dean Stockstill. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Billie Hindsman, the late Mr. Frank Hindsman, Mrs. Dorothy Stockstill and the late Mr. Norman Stockstill. She graduated from Neville High School. She attends the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Penn., where she is studying International Relations and Modern Middle Eastern Studies. She will participate in sorority rush this spring. She was escorted by Josh Raulerson.

Alexandra Elizabeth Loomis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edward Loomis III. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Louise Varino Russo, the late Mr. Russo and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Edward Loomis Jr. She graduated from Neville High School. She attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. where she is studying business. She is a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was escorted by Michael Cobb Barham.

Kay Esther Hakim is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herman Hakim. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise Zalta Hakim, the late Mr. Hakim and Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Hancock. She graduated from River Oaks High School. She attends Tulane University in New Orleans, where she is majoring in pre-med. She will participate in sorority rush this spring. She was escorted by Tyler Keith Ginn.

Aimee Caroline Barraza is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Barraza. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard Bunch and Dr. and Mrs. Lionel Barraza. She graduated of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. She attends Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. She will participate in sorority rush this spring. She was escorted by her brother, John Michael Barraza.

Ainsley Scott Anderson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Anderson, Mrs. Martha Jane Upshaw Anderson and the late Mr. Elton Upshaw. She graduated from Neville High School. She attends Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she is a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was escorted by James Michael Stephens.

Kelsy Nicole Ward is the daughter of Mrs. David Trey Duke. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Scoggins and Mr. and Mrs. Flournoy Branum Ward. She graduated from River Oaks High School. She attends the Tulane University in New Orleans, where she is studying pre-law. She will participate in spring rush. She was escorted by Michael John Sampognaro.
