Wal-Mart drive benefits local food bank
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Wal-Mart will hold a food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana from Saturday, March 8 through Monday, March 24.

"As a corporate partner of the food bank, Wal-Mart has committed to helping fight hunger in our community," said Robbie Henslee, Wal-Mart market manager.

"Rising fuel prices are going to continue to put a squeeze on all areas of the economy and this is no exception for the food bank. Food donations are needed now more than ever," Henslee said.

"There will be marked bins in the stores, so please give what you can, because together we can make a difference and help fulfill our vision of becoming a hunger-free northeast Louisiana."
