Monroe hosts Arbor Day event
Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo, the Monroe City Council and Beautification Coordinator Jacqueline January invite area residents to participate in the city's official Arbor Day observation at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo pavilion.
Following a brief ceremony, students and city workers will plant four native Louisiana trees at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo. |
