The 2008 Cotton Corner Quilt Show, sponsored by the North Louisiana Quilters Guild will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the West Monroe Convention Center.

This bi-annual event is the only fundraiser for the organization, which promotes the craft of quilting through education and encouragement of members. Proceeds of the quilt show are used for community projects such as donation of quilts to CASA, classes and supplies for area school projects and scholarships.

A drawing for a quilt(pictured left), called "Surviving the Storm: A Cotton Compass," will be held at 3:45 p.m. Saturday. Tickets will be available at the show. General admission is $5. Admission is free for people over 80 and children under 12.
