Mrs. Dixie Delores (Beach) Brown, 74, of Monroe, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, with rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. Burial was in St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Dixie Beach of St. Stephens, Ala.; infant daughter, Mary Diane; and great-granddaughter, Zoe Arie.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Dwight Brown; three daughters, Debra Daigle and husband, David, Denise Shannon and husband, Steve, and Dixie Womble and husband, Barry; six grandchildren, Josh and Jeremiah Daigle, Stephanie Shannon, Heather Brown, Taylor and Krista Siddon; one stepgrandchild, Roman Womble; six great-grandchildren, LouLou, Radlee, Bronson, Marissa, Baylee and Landan; brothers, Jimmy and Ray Beach of Jackson, Ala.; as well as many loving friends and family, including Patty Grubbs who was like an adopted daughter.
Pallbearers were David, Josh and Jeremiah Daigle, Wesley Martin, Wayne Gourdon, Mike Judah and Mark Tingle. Honorary pallbearers were her nephews.

Richard Burgoyne, 68, of Monroe, died Monday, Feb. 11, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
A graveside service was at noon, Thursday, Feb. 14, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation was Wednesday evening at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everette Burgoyne, and mother, Zora Barlowe Burgoyne
Survivors include his wife, Tywannia "Tee" Burgoyne; daughters, Jan Daniels and husband, Derek, and Ann Fugler and husband, John; grandchildren, Will Daniels, Parker Fugler and Whitney Fugler, who lovingly called him Bubba; and sister, Doll Burgoyne.

Mr. Richard Henry "Pop" Coker, 69, of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, in Monroe.

Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Bro. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment was in Monroe Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Lear, in 1957; her parents; her sister, Lucille Milton; and her brother, Troy Dorris.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Carpenter Truitt; three sons, Jim Lear and wife, Laurie, of West Monroe; Jack Lear and wife, Gerry, of Mechanicsburg, Ill.; and Bernie Lear and wife, Alisa, of Downsville; one daughter, Suzann Lear Boyett, of Panama City Beach, Fla.; three step-daughters, Donna McCormick and husband, Jim, of Hagerstown, Ind., Sharla Truitt of Hampstead, N.C. and Judy Shupe of Newport, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, Kelly Boyett Guillory, Mycal Boyett, Richard Boyett, Jennifer Boyett Burson, Bryant Lear, Diana Lear Rees, Adam Shupe, Tanya Shupe, Cliff Schweitzer, Cindy Gurtner and Sara Moore; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Dorris; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mycal Boyett, Richard Boyett, Bryant Lear, John Burson, Joey Swaggart and Kenny Swaggart.

Mrs. Dorothy Dunham Harbour Turnipseed, 91, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Cornerstone Hospital.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Revs. Mark Fenn and John Mark Little officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Ginger Harbour Graham and husband, Derrel, of Monroe; son, Ronnie Lee Harbour and wife, Colleen, of Marion, Ky.; sister, Ethelene Burgi of Mesquite, Nev.; and grandchildren, Sandi Graham Jones and husband, Jamey, Dr. Derrel Graham Jr. and wife Fay, Damien and Lindsay Harbour; and three great-grandchildren, Kayla and Emily Jones and Douglas Graham.

Mrs. Mary Emma Washington, 85, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Christus St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Everett Geis officiating. Interment was in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd E. Washington; son, James C. Washington and wife, Judith, of Shreveport; daughters, Pamelia Yesse and husband, Gary, and Charlotte Higgins, all of Monroe; sister, Wren Bynum of Zapata, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dauphine McGaha Wilkerson, 88, of Monroe, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at The Oaks Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wilkerson.
Survivors include her daughters, Julia Wilkerson, Charlene Talton and Helen Joyner and husband, Ray; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, L.M. McGaha; and sister, Mable Adams.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Carl David Wilson.

Mrs. Lucille Isabelle Laskey Wittlief, 91, of Monroe, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Claude John Wittlief.
