by Joe Durham, Jr. - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Tarran Napier and Kristen Worley scored 18 points each to help lift the No. 15 seed Claiborne Christian Lady Crusaders to a 60-39 victory over No. 18 seed Georgetown in the first round of the Class C playoffs. Angel Hamilton chipped in 10 points to help out.

Claiborne opened up the game with a 17-9 advantage at the end of the first quarter but went on a 13-0 run in the second quarter which pretty well put them in control of the game the rest of the way. Claiborne led 34-21 at the half and 53-24 at the end of the third quarter.

The win was Claiborne's first ever playoff victory since becoming a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.

Claiborne travels to No. 2 seed Athens tonight at 6:30 p.m.
