Hazel Mae Boles
Mrs. Hazel Mae Boles, 61, of West Monroe, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Jerry Hebert officiating. Interment was in Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe. Visitation was Monday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Boles; daughter, Rhonda Aikens; son-in-law, Robbin Aikens; grandson, Jessie Friedman; and brother, Jessie Levele McLain.
Survivors include her children, Loretta Steele, Patricia Schmidt, Rebecca Brown, Cathy Boles, Jennifer Friedman, Stacy Moore, Michelle Boles, Jamie Boles and Angela Speller; numerous sons-in-laws; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with two more on the way; sister, Carolyn Waltman; brothers, Ronnie McLain, Robert McLain and Roger McLain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Adam Moore, Cory Moore, Micheal Steele, David Friedman, Steve Schmidt and Victor Banda.

Linda Sue Nale Chambless
Mrs. Linda Sue Nale Chambless, 62, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, in Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington with Revs. Kurt Auger and Terry Ganey officiating. Interment was in Enterprise Cemetery near Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mariete Nale.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Bobby R. Chambless; daughters, Lisa Wheeler and husband, Joe, and Jennifer Dunn and husband, Steve; sons, Brad Roberson and wife, Beth, Bob Chambless and wife, Brandi, and Todd Chambless and wife, Becca; nine grandchildren; sister, Janice Welch and husband, Dale; and numerous relatives, church family and friends.
Pallbearers were Todd Thompson, Chad Thompson, Tommy Phillips, John Sutton, James Wells and Gary Tubbs.

Joe Mary McKoin Cummins
Mrs. Joe Mary McKoin Cummins, of Monroe, 94, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Paul Sabin officiating. Private burial was in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Ridge. Visitation was immediately before the service.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Jay W. Cummins; two sisters, Jessie Lee McKoin Woods and Dean McKoin Bushong; a son, Bunnie McKoin Cummins and wife, Ann; and a grandson, Richard McKoin Cummins.
Survivors include twin sons and their wives, Jay and Betty Cummins of Mangham and Joe and Dot Cummins of West Monroe; one sister; Joyce McKoin Swanson of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Erin Paige Cummins, Ryan Deason Cummins, Rebekah Cummins Fuller, Jay Scott Cummins, Mary Ellen Cummins Thompson and Kelley Doucette; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Marie S. Davis
Mrs. Marie S. Davis, 81, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2008.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Clarence Kelly officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday evening.
Her husband of 60 years, James W. Davis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Deleta Sue Gee, Jimmy Davis and wife, Stephanie, Carol Nale and husband, Glenn, Darol Davis, Chris Davis, Sheila McGrew and husband, Robby, and Lena Pike and husband, Brian; sisters, Earline Brannon, Dora Oliver and Flora Brower; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brian Pike, Willis Wooten, Shane Wooten, James Anders, Richard Oberle and Dustin Fleming.

Mary E. Dumas
Mrs. Mary E. Dumas, 73, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Swartz Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Dumas; son, Robert M. "Mike" Dumas; mother, Gladys Farrar; stepfather, Jim Bob Farrar; father, Monroe J. Cater; and brothers W. R. "Billy" Farrar and Monroe J. Cater Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Keith A. Tyson and wife, Jeanette and Steve Tyson and wife, Kitty; grandchildren, Christopher Tyson, Erica Forwood, Dannette Tyson, Melissa Tyson, Johnny Morrison and Brandy Abraham; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, J.B. Farrar Jr., Randy and Shirley Farrar, Patsy and Pink Self, Evelyn and Wookie Flattmann and Cathern and Robert Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were members of The Monroe Fire Department.

Ella Gibson Edwards
Mrs. Ella N. Gibson Edwards, 98, of West Monroe, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Ridgecrest Nursing Home.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe with Revs. Aaron Dickinson and Rick Crandall officiating. Interment was in Newton Cemetery near Delhi under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was immediately before the service.
She was preceded in death by husband of 35 years, Britt Gibson; and second husband of 17 years, Falcon Edwards; her son, Donald Britt Gibson; and nine siblings.
Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Clayton, Jean Dunham and husband, Johnny, and Kathy Folks and husband, Randall; sister, Velma Daingerfield; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Ron Barfield and the McClendon Baptist van drivers.
Memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mary Lee Guraedy
Mrs. Mary Lee Guraedy, 86, of West Monroe, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Stoneybrook Assisted Living.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Oda "Tuck" Roberts officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation was Monday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Guraedy
Survivors include daughters, Pat Rhymes and husband, T.L. and Ila Kay Guraedy; grandchildren, Shea Crew and husband, Paul, Ron Rhymes and wife, Samantha, and Kayle Waren and husband, Darris; and great-grandchildren, Anne-Claire and Blake Rhymes, Grace and Emma Waren and Keely Crew.
Pallbearers were T.L. Rhymes, Ron Rhymes, Paul Crew, Darris Waren, Earl Hannah Bennett and Gene Rhymes.

Luella Darline Lloyd
Mrs. Luella Darline Lloyd, 79, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008.
Memorial services were at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at North Crossings Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ernestine Ruth Hoyt.
Survivors include her husband, Ray H. Lloyd; children, Larry Eugene Lloyd, Bonnie Jean Chavez and Glenda Darline Huckeba; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Stephen Keith McGowen
Mr. Stephen Keith McGowen, 38, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. John Moden officiating. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was Monday evening.
Survivors include his father, Ron McGowen and his wife, Sheila, of Bastrop; grandmother, Edith McGowen of Monroe; sister, Ashley McGowen Chorette and husband, Tripp, of Bastrop; brother, Clint McGowen of Monroe; half brother, Brad Dyer; and mother, Francis Dyer of Dry Prong.

Rena Shinn McKenzie
Mrs. Rena Shinn McKenzie, 85, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Lysbeth Cockrell officiating. Interment was in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was Friday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol M. Ragland of Monroe; son, Carleton A. McKenzie Jr. and wife, Sherry, of Monroe; grandson, Jody C. McKenzie and wife, Amy; and two great-grandsons, Kohl and Jake.

Pearl Killian Morgan
Mrs. Pearl Killian Morgan, 95, of Coos Bay, Ore., and a former resident of Monroe for most of her life, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.
Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Revs. Johnny Hankins and Ken Renfroe officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation was Tuesday evening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard H. Morgan Sr.; parents, Robert R. and Mary Scott Killian; brother, Joseph F. Killian; sisters, Roxie Killian, Eunice Killian Lambert, Juanita Killian Osterland and Myrtle Killian Hankins.
Survivors include her son, Howard H. Morgan Jr. and his wife, Winnie Jean, of Coos Bay, Ore.; grandsons, Joseph S. Morgan of Dahlonega, Ga., and Lewin Dee Gray of Bastrop; granddaughter, Katie Morgan of Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joseph S. Morgan, Lewin Dee Gray, Will Robert Lambert, Jon Hankins, Matthew Hankins and Marshall Wright. Honorary pallbearers were her great nephews.

Johnnie Mae Womack Parker
Johnnie Mae Womack Parker, 91, of West Monroe, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in West Monroe.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Woody Rimes officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was immediately before the service.
Survivors include her husband, Marshal Parker; children, Ralph Parker, Donald Parker and wife, Lana, and Jeanette Rogers and husband, Gene; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers were Walter Gates Jr, J.E. Wilkes and Erby Tisdale.

James Stoke Parrott
Mr. James Stoke Parrott, 72, of Eros, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at his residence.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Franklin Pierce officiating. Burial was in Chatham Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday evening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mut and Addie Parrott and brother, Lloyd Parrott.
Survivors include his wife, Glen Parrott; sons, Jimmy L. Parrott Sr., and Jerry W. Parrott and wife, Susie; grandchildren, Jimmy Jr., Jessica, Lacey, Amy and Lauren Parrott; and sister-in-law, Paula Parrott.
