National commander to visit local American Legion post

The American Legion National Commander Martin "Marty" F. Conatser will visit Monroe on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

Conatser will be at the L.B. Faulk Post 13 at 401 Forsythe Ave. in Monroe at 5:15 p.m. to present a check to four wounded soldiers and one spouse who lost her husband during the war.

The Louisiana American Legion State Commander Ed Grow and state officers will attend the ceremony, along with the post commanders and members from the fifth district. The public is invited to attend and show their support.
