Kennedy, Welsh plan April 19 wedding

Mr. and Mrs. David Kennedy of Monroe announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Lee Kennedy of Monroe to Andrew Welsh of Atlanta, Ga., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michael Welsh, also of Atlanta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Birdie Fragala and the late Frank Fragala of Monroe and Myra Kennedy and the late James Lee Kennedy of Sinton, Texas. She graduated from Neville High School and Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Elizabeth Petrides of Chicago, Ill., and John W. Hellgeth also of Chicago, and the late Charles and Marjorie Welsh of Meadville, Penn.

He graduated from Chattahoochee High School in Duluth, Ga., and Auburn University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Grace Episcopal Church in Monroe.
