Monroe symphony presents winter pops concert It's time again for the Monroe Symphony Orchestra's winter pops concert.
Symphony executive director Vicky Valenzano said she expected this year's concert theme, "The Way We Were…A Prom for Parents," will be one of the organization's most popular.
This year, the symphony will be joined by the Lawrence Gibbs Orchestra and local favorite Billy Ledbetter.
"Billy Ledbetter will take us on a sentimental journey to those fun days of our younger years," Valenzano said.
The evening will feature popular music of the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
"This fun-filled evening will also include many prom-like activities," Valenzano said. "Kelly Photography will be there, capturing your memories."
Photo packages will be available for purchase, as well, Valenzano said.
Also, patrons will be able to purchase corsages and boutonnieres designed by Clinton Whitney Downing Designs.
The concert will be held Sat., Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Monroe Civic Center Arena. Tables of 8 may be reserved for $250 or single tickets may be purchased for $20.
For more information or to reserve your table, please call the Monroe Symphony Orchestra office at (318) 812-6761. |
