Obituaries published Jan. 17, 2008 James "Bill" Boutwell James "Bill" Boutwell, 80, of West Monroe, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, in West Monroe. His funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Ouachita Baptist Church with Revs. Marshall Douglas and Eddie Schumaker officiating. Interment was in Monroe Memorial Park with Rev. Dennis Hensley officiating. Arrangements were by Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Visitation was immediately before the service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Allie Boutwell; brothers, Pete Boutwell, Arthur Boutwell Jr., Beau Boutwell who died defending his country in World War II, Donald Ray Boutwell; and a sister, Mable Plunk. Florence Odell Burroughs Mrs. Florence Odell Burroughs, 87, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at St. Francis North Hospital. Her funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Don Glover officiating. Interment was in Rayville Masonic Cemetery in Rayville. She was preceded in death by her son, Bill Burroughs. Visitation was Monday evening. William Eldred Cordray Mr. William Eldred Cordray, 85, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center. His funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at First United Methodist Church of Monroe. Interment was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery in Baton Rouge under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening at the funeral home and immediately before the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Josephine Cordray; and sisters, Lillie Lou Cordray and Alma Garrett. Rev. John C. Dudley Rev. John C. Dudley, 79, passed this life to his eternal home on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, in Monroe, after a lengthy illness.
