by Joe Durham, Jr. - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The West Monroe Rebels have one District 2-5A soccer game remaining on Friday night when they take on the Ruston Bearcats in Ruston.

The Rebels (2-0) were led by Juan Torres and Aaron Ayerdis, who scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Ouachita. Ayerdis also had an assist on Torres' goal.

"Ruston has already beaten us in a tournament this year," said West Monroe coach Chris Barron. "So we know its going to be a tough match. Hopefully, we'll be ready for them this time."

The Rebels are currently the only undefeated team left in the district race.

After the Ruston game, the Rebels must face Ouachita again on Monday, Jan. 25.
