A West Monroe police officer initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle on Sunday, Feb. 3, for changing lanes without using a turn signal.

The officer claimed to have seen the same vehicle at a local pharmacy and had observed three people go in and exit the store each by themselves.

The officer then claimed to have contacted the subjects and identified them as Ronald Jason Burdine, Carol Elizabeth Burdine, Jessica Simpson and Tommy Wayne Spires. The officer said the stories of the subjects did not match their actions.
