Joining the church of your choice." This is a very common expression…but it is seriously unbiblical. This idea comes from another very popular expression…"One church is just as good as another"…which statement is also wrong.

In the first place, God has never even suggested that we should join the church of our choice. Rather, he wants to add each one of us to the church of his choice.

He did that in Acts 2:47, when people who believed in Christ confessed to him, repented of their sins and were baptized into Christ. He still does that when we do what they did.
