CVB grant fuels non-profit Rebel BMX racetrack

Life's a racetrack that comes full circle for Ted Bailey.

As a youth in the 1980s, Bailey and some friends built a bicycle motocross, or BMX racetrack, in Chennault Park.

Now Bailey is about to build a nationally sanctioned Rebel BMX racetrack in West Monroe. The new project was made possible by a transfer of land from the Ouachita Parish Police Jury and the approval of a $100,000 grant from the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau.
