ULM increases campus security after incident University of Louisiana-Monroe officials addressed increased concerns for student safety on campus during a press conference on Tuesday.
Concerns arose after an un-named student was reportedly abducted from the ULM campus outside of Hemphill Hall on the morning of Jan. 18.
The student was allegedly taken off-campus and assaulted before being returned to campus and taken to a local hospital.
"Safety is a top priority on this campus, and university officials are taking this incident very seriously," said Dr. Wayne Brumfield, vice president of Student Affairs.
