Lions, Rebels to knock down district foes While the West Monroe Lady Rebels and Ouachita Lady Lions compete for the lead in district 2-5A standings, boys' varsity basketball has seen the rise of the Ouachita Lions who have a good chance of jumping ahead in district as they face familiar foes.
The Ouachita Lions continue a 10-win streak as they compete for the lead in 2-5A, hosting the Ruston Bearcats in a 2-5A basketball contest on Friday. As ranked in the Ken Ramsey ratings, the No. 1 Lions (21-4, 2-0) are running alongside No. 11 Ruston (20-5, 3-0) and No. 10 Natchitoches Central (18-8, 3-2) in district standings.
