Calls for action following Monroe crime spike Officials with the City of Monroe are calling for increased vigilance in light of what Mayor Jamie Mayo says is a seasonal uptick in crime.
Mayo was joined by elected officials and Monroe Police Chief Quentin Holmes for the first of four town hall meetings held Tuesday night at the Saul Adler Recreation Center.
"We're very much aware of some of the things that have happened over the last couple of months," Mayo said.
