December 8, 1942!!! Wee, I turned 70 years old. I got the cutest birthday card from GIN and RONALD SHEMWELL. There is this old girl, in her two piece swimsuit on the front. Open the card and it says, "Dianne, we've still got it, it is just not in the same place anymore." Tee Hee!

When I turned 60, Mike asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday, any thing in the world. I told him I would like to take all our family to New York City. He called AMY NORRIS at Monroe Travel, and after months and months of planning, 26 of us arrived in the Big Apple.

The city was dressed for Christmas and covered in snow. From ice skating at Rockefeller Center, to Radio City Music Hall and the fabulous Rockettes, Broadway shows, to a cool, starlight evening dinner cruise, ending with champagne and birthday cake in front of the Statue of Liberty.
